That's because your married to a good look-in Attorney ! I don't know how many semi finals rounds I lost thinking about the payout I could get if I just did everything right.I was always thinkin, "even if I lose in the final I get runner up money." And then I wouldn't....THAT was the hardest round of racing for me. Just because of the possible payout.

Buddy, I could be married to you. And, I'd never think about how much I'm racing for.

As most of you know I do the "Live" from reports but I'm trying hard not to be biased about this subject. I too missed the second year because of circumstances out of my control so I can understand that everyone is not going to be able to make every damn race but I was so effing disappointed in the Stock/SS community this past year. When I rolled into Numidia for the race a little late on Friday I couldn't believe my eyes. The vacant pits said it all, unbelievable that these people put on this race with the great giveaways and prizes and the money in purse and people don't show!
I hate it that Ken has come to this conclusion but I damn sure can't blame him I mean why would he and Tim keep trying to do something for the racers? It's a shame I loved the event, my wife and kids had a great time he'll we even planned a vacation around the race this year. It was a great event, well planned and thought out with the racers in mind but it just didn't check off all the boxes off on Timbo's list as he so graciously listed them for you guys.
NHRA racers are like a bunch of crackheads and the "Wally" is the dope! Just like drug addicts you can't help them if they don't want help getting off the ****! Ken and Tim I appreciate everything you guys did trying to put on this event.
As a side note I realize there's only so many weekends that some people can race I'm guilty of it too when it comes to association races the CCRA puts on. I've missed some of those so I would have time to go to a NHRA event so I'm guilty too.
You crackheads carry on......

Sorry Billy if I was off base. I was thinking of tear downs, checking camshafts, etc. I thought S/SS was the only one in need of these services.

You haven't seen (or heard of) all the electronics being used in the bracket/.90 classes, I guess.

Phil, I've seen them look for electronic devices on S/T, S/G, S/C cars.
A lot of the S/SS racers were talking about the lack of tech on their
style of cars, so I suggested we could pay for it to get it to the level
that would appease everyone.

What are we paying for now? $350 to enter a national event ! At what point do we say enough is enough. Random tear downs at national events and divisionals is cool.

I don't post a whole lot, I've been class racing for 16 years and I'm having a blast with my all home built 2bbl Comet, I bracket race every weekend Bremerton since the 80s 1/8th mile, they let us run double classes with 1st round loss buy backs, possible winnings for every weekend $3500 plus they a $1000 shootout 3x a season..added bonus they do 1 footbrake weekend race with buybacks $15k each day $30k for the weekend..plus 1/4 options at Pacific, woodburn and Yakima..
