What about a 1985 Pontiac Parisienne Wagon with a Chevy 305 4 bbl 155hp? Natural O/SA. Or P/SA. Only problem it is now at 250hp per NHRA. Might just be a fun Jr. Street street car for me and my 13 year old.

PS- I also have a Pontiac Grand Prix GTP with a supercharged 231 for AF/S.

I am still shaking my head.

This is a fun thread. Some people are pretty talented, they seem to be able to pull off unthought of combinations and get away with it. Seems to me that there is that certain element of racer that thinks outside the box and stays up nights making new ideas work. The dumbest last words are the ones that say"That'll never work!!".

Nah, I don't see this one.
Can't even take advantage of the truck camshaft lift gift.
Plus ,I don't think you want to be in J,K with an index runner.
My advice? Keep looking.

What truck camshaft lift gift? The specs show .458"/.467". Besides, it's listed with Dodge trucks and should fall under the same category rules. I'm not sure about the stick with the 360. Maybe the 318. This is the same Magnum engine that is in the pickups.

Dwight, My point was that, in some combos , the truck hp rating is less than the passenger car rating, yet the trucks get a .430 lift cam too ..(as do FWD cars) ..if the spec is less than that from the factory.
Yes ,there are still a few Dodge trucks around, and I'm sure they've got plenty of money in them by now.
Jeep Cherokee 360? Unique? Yes
Killer combo ? Nah

I've been tinkering with one of these. Completely stock except for a cold thermostat, short, sticky DOT tires and blue sunoco it's gone 14.50s at "The Beav". Probably go 14 teens at Cecil. So far, it's been pretty consistent too. I don't know what it weighs but it's probably somewhere between A and B weight.
A couple of years ago, I watched some "kid" drive one in at "The Beav", took out his drivers-side headlight assy., put sticky DOTs on it and plugged his laptop into it. 12.70s! Blew me away! He told me that he changed the drive chain and gears, put in a converter out of a 3.4 Monte Carlo and stock LT-1 injectors. I don't know how he reprogrammed it but he DID say that he didn't mess with the boost because he "has to drive it home".
Needless to say, I was impressed.

Bought a 2 bolt cast crank 350 for $200. Bought a nice set of pistons and rings for $89, stocker cam, still have press studs and stock pushrods and rockers, moroso valve covers and a Qjet I found in the back of a pickup truck. Pretty much it.

When I blow it up I'll probably just get a new 4 bolt GM Jegs engine for 1499$ and put a solid lifter cam in and change the heads. Shift that sumbitch at 7200 :)

Yes I did Dan.

I remember years ago when I still followed the Buick guys and read up on the supercharged Buick 3.8 V-6 ( as installed in the GTP and GS as the 3800 )

It looked to have good potential.
