That's correct, unable to finish tonight. Stopped NHRA event around 8:45 to make way for motorcycle race track rental. I'm in motorhome listening to them run now, announcer still calling the action over PA and radio. Probably still 60 degrees out with low humidity.

Bike just ran 8.19. Clearly, Stock and SS couldn't run under such conditions...

I'm actually a bit surprised they didnt make you guys leave the facility while the test and tune was being ran! Maybe a small fee to stay and watch? LOL Test and tune??? At a Divisional with this many cars??? In effing credible!!!

I actually then went on DRC to refresh my memory of how much fun we all had the last time i was there 3 years ago....

Thanks Tom, but now that I've seen what the air was like for the first session on Thursday of the first race, I'm going to be more bummed. My car has never ran in such great air as that session had, and per Bandimere data I compared from July of '06 and October '06 racing events, it could've been worth a .3-.5 second performance improvement over my normal runs there (15.40's)....thus my best run of 15.24 and speed of 88mph would've both been in serious jeopardy....thanks to Charlie I will have to wait another year for hopefully another chance to make as pass in air conditions like that...fortunately he'll be up there in Washington....I hope he's better for you guys in D6 than he was for us this year here???

That sucks Neil, but it also underscores why I changed my mind about going out there today to watch the eliminations, because I won't go back to that track until Charlie's gone. That air was great too, even though not as good as Thursdays was... :(

I hope you are doing good out there, and that in spite of those alcohol/injected nitro cars being out there with you guys yesterday and today, that the race is going well. I also hope that all of you there (including my critics on this thread), had a good time there, and have safe travels getting back home.
