The SS/EX Scion is neat looking and the performance is impressive--I only see one slight problem tho--IT'S NOT IN THE NHRA CLASSIFICATION GUIDE--- NO TOYOTAS OF ANY KIND are listed in the NHRA online Classification guide!!!! As a matter of fact it is NOT LISTED in the Engine Blueprint Specification guide either---An oversite perhaps ??? Or what??? Seems to me if it is not listed " it ain't legal"--- Don't the rules say "ya can't run it if it isn't in the guide???

Clay,
Scott told me it was 158 cubes and made 430 ponies. It weighs 1830 with driver. I believe he said it is fuel injected.

The rules state any body made by a car manufacturer.
For EX The accepted bodies list is from the Sport Compact rule book. It is there to stop somebody from trying to run a front wheel drive Camaro.

Ernie

It is electronically fuel injected on methanol. You have to give Scott a lot of credit The index is probably 3 to 5 tenths to hard. It was based on the record of the AllMotor class in sport compact. How many superstockers would be competitive today if the record was there index.

Thanks for the info Ernie and Art. It appears to have a TRD built engine and carbon fiber body panels. That's how a scion gets down to 1800 lbs! Sounds like it's got as much money in it as any vehicle out there. Good write up on it here.

Tom, Carey is driving for Eric this weekend. Eric's Beagle, Mr. Beasley, was very sick and he wisely chose to stay home with him. BTW, Mr. Beasley is progressing.

Once again, thank you sooooooo much for the pictures! Jim
