I'm still new and learning but the best tool to have is good accurate data records and test whatever you can think of. The only way to know if your combo is helped is same day testing and weather data. If you try draining a quart of oil and know the weather slowed up .04 and the car ran the same number as your previous run then it still picked you up about .04.
Also when testing do 1 change at a time.

The further you move the oil level away from the crank the better.

I don't know, might call them and see what they say.

And they were only $10, so you could buy them and try.

I have a computerized 4 wheel alignment rack and I do a fair amount of drag cars being that I also race. I can't believe how many people never check the alignment on their car. You might be surprised how far off most cars are. Nobody ever seems to think about bumpsteer or how the camber changes. I also scale cars and watch the alignment change as you move weight around. I learned a lot from helping a dirt track guy and some of it applies to going straight also. Most people never even think about how straight or bent the rear axle is. My own car I used to own picked up a tenth just by getting everything right but I can't promise that on every car!!

For those that like to remove oil to pickup power and ET, please install an accumulator. It will let you go faster without the danger of making a top end mess in front of your back tires.

I wanted to bring this one back , in light of some of the racers we've lost lately.
This is not directed at anyone in particular but some of the veterans of the sport have 3-4 or more race cars tucked away that are not being used.
Now , if you don't have any heirs that are interested in drag racing, these cars are going to be worth pennies on the dollar to your families when you are gone.
No one gets out of here alive ;-)
Instead, how about finding a young guy or gal and mentoring them ?
I know we could all probably use some help in jacking up and loading our cars and tying them down.
I know Billy and a few more guys have brought new blood into Stock and Super Stock.
How about it , guys?
