Since I have bin in this country a long distance and speck well English, I feel qualified to comment on the NHRA to English dictionary....

I would like to give the newbie’s and people who don't get it some information......

NHRA will resist at all costs putting anything in writing......

When NHRA puts something in writing it is intentionally vague so that NHRA has wiggle room......

If NHRA publishes a clear and concise policy they might have to back it up......

Everything that NHRA does is blurry so than they can't be held accountable....

NHRA will make a printed rule only when they have no other choice and that rule will written in NHRA-speak which is open to interpretation differently by everybody...

This is why they use NHRA-speak, which is their own language……

This is a brave new world now, that has no accountability.......

Either Race the rules or park it !
Slamming the brakes at the stripe is a no no -- no matter what class !
I can't tell you how many crashes I've seen at the stripe because of Idiot's slamming the brakes ! Or don;t race in NHRA !

Just going by what I read here and not seeing the run, my thoughts are if they gave me a warning the round before, I don't think I would go out and hit the brakes next round with the bulls eye already on my back.

I have a question about this deal.

Instead of excessive braking, what would happen if you just lifted your foot off the throttle a bit at the finish line???

Might take a little time to know how much is enough and I am not talking taking you foot completely off the pedal, just enough to slow down safely.

Yes, I know it is about dumping the other guy or gal.

Someone might want to ask the final race winner in this case about the result of his excessive braking at the finish line at the Salt Lake Division Race in 2015.
I was there and parked two trailers down from him.

Bob, I think they need money.
Just look at the expenses they are cutting by cutting employees.
Just not enough there in payroll to cover what is needed.

Great piece of driving by Mr Emmons, it looked as text book as finish line driving can be. Nothing in the video that I saw constituted a DQ and the dude got screwed! If you don't use your brakes at the finish line these days you will not win on a consistent basis.
