Chris to answer your question it was starting to break at 10 this morning but it was still sprinkling rain. They had some really heavy downpours during the night and the pits were soaked along with a tremendous amount of water on the track. We all know VMP has had some issues with seepage down track and although they had that section covered with plastic I do believe that was an issue in making a decision. Best case scenario in my mind was that it would have been 1 o'clock before they were ready and if the sun would've come out so would've the water to the cracked in the track.
It's unfortunate but I believe they made the right decision.

I thought he announced that the ladders were set for stock and super stock so I'm guessing the random pairings only applies to the index classes? I also heard him announce that no new entries were going to be able to come in because the fields were all set. Anymore info on this?

Yeah Bobby I'm not positive on that it was second hand information I wasn't able to hear all the details but I plan on trying to find our for sure today.

It was announced that the fields were set and no new entries would be accepted.

It was also announced that Stock and Super Stock 1st rd would be random pairing and the ladder would be set off of 1st rd. It was stated, this is directly out of the rule book.

I believe they do this to pervent bye runs for those that cannot make it back.

I do believe Cal is right on this one, this is the same explanation I got from a couple of people before I left Sunday. I did call the Division office this morning for confirmation and spoke with a lady that took my name and number and told me she would call me back when she found out something. I'm still waiting for my call.

Can't say I'm thrilled about the random pairs first round feel, if I get a heads up run and I'm not prepared that would suck don't you think.
