Whatever the bump ends up being, I predict several cars will run exactly the same to the thousandth.
Then some will lobby to give the higher qualified position to the one with the most mph.

Well, some really good cars didn't qualify the last couple of years given the FSS cars and their index, and this year looks to be even more of a challenge for 'traditional' stockers. Think Nitro Joe is pretty close with his prediction. If you've got a stocker that can't go .90 under in D3 summer air then I think you're just going for the experience rather than reasonably looking to be able to run the eliminator. Not trying to rain on anybody's parade...Topeka and/or Bowling Green heat will probably lead a few to cancel their entries to spend at a future National event.

Looks like -.88 Stock

Barry Parker, Bob Michael nailed it.

Gary P, Nitro , and yours truly were close.

now we get to see the fruits of thier rule change...
128 copo's / cobra jets and drag paks...and all the other guys are getting screwed... oh wait NHRA is allowing 20 more donaters to come and not qualify.

of course there will be a few oddballs get in, a defactored ford or two, a turbo or two, an occasional pickup and an old beat up 60 wagon > but for the most part the millionaires got what they wanted.

see ya at indy...
oh by the way Roy Dean will be piloting the landbarge.

captain jack

The old Land Barge would be #1 qualifier if you took out the Copo/DragPak/CobraJets and underfactored 86 Chev trucks. Good going Cap'n.

Maybe so, Tom.
But finding an under rated combo in S/SS has always been the game, rather than picking a popular one , and pouring money into it..IMO.
The trucks and the ol' wagon were showroom available and legal street vehicles at one time .
Congrats to all three!
