Having sponsored a heads up class for 3 years I can tell you that everyone who will race the series will want to start off with what they think is a fair weight and that will be hard to agree on .

The Mopar's will get a weight break to start and I dont agree with that .

To me that seems to be a advantage to the Mopar cars ,a new 428 mustang is not going to run 6.0 in the 1/8 mile at 3250 lbs and either is the 352 so those cars will need help and it does not appear that that has been taken into consideration at ths time

I think ADRL should use NHRA legal cars to start and run them for a few race and then adjust the weights after talking to all the racer who race the series and looking at the data

At this time the new copo camaro is not in the NHRA guide line and agian no body knows what it will run so the only car's that could be runing will be the SC CJ , 428 CJ , 352 CJ and the 5.7 DP , 6.1DP and V10 DP

The great thing about this is that there is a lot of discussion about heads up drag racing which I think is good for our sport . I think ADRL needs everyone input who plans on racing

Not exactly what I was thinking, but that could be ironic as well.

Looks cool but whining and complaining will kill it just like Top Stock.Car count will be good at first and then you will be lucky to have 8.

Kevin , I agree with that statement .

The only way to run these cars heads up is blower vs blower and naturally aspirated vs naturally aspirated . All cars weight the same that way you can pump for cubic in ( spec cubic infor all motor's ) , spec blower or throttle body .

Everything else is run what you brug , first one to finish line wins . Every car get pumped , and every blower and throttle body checked

This way if you have spec cubic inches , spec blower and spec throttle body every manufactor has a chance for their cars to race . It would not matter rather the copo camaro is in the NHRA giude you could just build one to race .

this way every car has the same weight

What about the C6 corvette ? can it run ? it's a new car and a muscle car as well

ADRL hope your reading this , dont make the same mistakes NHRA and IHRA have made in the past

Bring them all in Cobra Jet , Drag Pack , Viper , Corvette and Camaro

Already trying to change everything, we all know how hard it is for some to be legal! This wanting to change the rules from what Stock Elminator is is more for the haves than the have not's. ADRL keep it as close to produced as possible!

This needs to be Stocker combinations or it will fail on day one.
