Woody - Your accomplishments are lenghty for sure - but we both know sitting home isn't the answer - you and I have seen this problem before and realize that one is either part of the problem or part of the solution . In the photo below , yes - the one with your decal on the fender -- do you see the knife I'm carrying ? We all get a turn in the tank now and then - its how we handle it that counts .

On another note I feel some of your friends here have it right - you'd look great in one of those 512" Vipers - in bright yellow I think - so spend some of Linda's 401k and have some fun . Also the Pentastar crowd will put out the welcome mat to you I'm sure - and Jeff will get you one at the "family" price so ..................

Could you buy a production 98 Z/28 or Trans Am/Firebird with an LT-1?

It would be no different than a 1993, 1994, 1995, 1996, or 1997, other than more holes in the nose.

What's your point?

Re: B/SA DP Car

WTF.................The below is a cut & paste from the NHRA website explaining the AHFS.

Runs of 1.250 or more under the index will be reviewed and adjusted Tuesday following the event. Runs at National Events, Divisional Events, and National Open Events, including those at altitude factored race tracks, are included in the 1.250-second-or-more-under analysis. This is done to better react to any out-of-line indexes or under-horsepowered combinations. Therefore, at all such events, a 3.25 percent horsepower adjustment or index reduction will be initiated Tuesday following the event. The decision to adjust horsepower or to reduce the index will be at the discretion of the NHRA Tech Department.

If the car was run as a B/SA car, it was 1.295 under the index.

If the car was run as a C/SA car, it was 1.445 under the index

Either way the "racecar" should have received a 3.25% increase in NHRA horsepower.

How can NHRA NOT adjust the horsepower??????????????????????????

NHRA is turning into a punch line from a bad joke.........

Money is tight and I voted with my feet regarding the joke that NHRA has made of my sport.
