Not that it matters, but Alan and any NHRA announcer in the booth has the facts on the screen in front of them.

They can see every run that the competitors have made if they choose to. The incrementals are up for each current pair of course.

Can't wait until Pomona is over. Can't wait until the season is over. Can't wait until NHRA makes their announcements concerning 2011 rule changes. Lets hope and pray they are not blind and deaf. Until then lets light a candle for divine intervention. Just waiting to see whether the NHRA hiearchy has completely sold out.:confused:

No; just don't think Alan was genuinely surprised. He was just adding some drama. Wouldn't argue with our high paid reporters; remember I'm still hoping you get a bonus.

Did anybody get any idea of how long the mustang just cruised? I'm guessing Kevin would have liked to show more MPH, but was so far ahead.......

Well, I've been going to national events with my brother since '93 and between '97 and '05 I raced 15-20 national events a year. Believe me, I've heard my fair share of Alan's announcing.

His words were "Whoa, talk about lifting early!" or something to that effect. He could have been playing it up, but it sounded genuine to me.

I videoed it from a forklift at the finish line where 40 people were watching. He pedaled it 3 times

He was on .69 to a .72. Check the live timing and compare it to other CJ runs throughout the year. Its not that hard to figure out.
