Re: Impact Racing
In my opinion, this "Should be a problem between SFI and Impact" and not between NHRA and the Racer. NHRA and SFI should understand that this does NOT make the equipment faulty just the tags that SFI did not get their hit on........
The said equipment should stand as being servicable untill the tagged dates. SFI need to make Impact accountable .......not the Racer! Rick Bailey |
Re: Impact Racing
Impact Racing would like to respond to the statement on March 26, 2010 by SFI regarding their intention to decertify all SFI labeled Impact Racing products. All SFI labeled products currently being sold by Impact Racing have current SFI certification and legally obtained labels. The safety of our products has in no way been compromised. The allegation from SFI is in relation to the actual SFI tag only. We suggest at this time to continue to use your equipment, which is safe and has been certified and do not have anyone replace your tags on your products.
On March 26, 2010 the attorneys representing Impact Racing filed an appeal. There is also a hearing in court on April 1, 2010. Impact Racing will keep all of our customers informed as details unfold. We are not accepting returns or refunds on delivered products. We suggest at this time to wait until further notice until we learn more about the details and allegations. |
Re: Impact Racing
I don't care what the rest of you do but mines going in the garbage. If they have cheated on the tags, what else could they have fudged on to make an extra buck? Not worth the risk to me.

Re: Impact Racing
This is very sad, but I'm afraid it's a sign of the times. Money is tight everywhere. Unfortunately more and more companies will cut corners where ever possible. I must say, for me personally, I could never trust Impact again. This is a decision each racer will have to make for himself. I would think if they lose this law suite they may never recover and become a part of racing history. Jim

Re: Impact Racing
Cant Read It...
Looks like a statement of some sort, Can someone rewrite it so we can talk about this for the next two weeks cause Im bored with all the DP,CJ and Drozze stuff...lol |
Re: Impact Racing
Basically says that a guy under the direction of Bill Sipmpson was told to buy and have affixed reproduction SFI labels to Impact products and that he did so on occasion after hours at his home computer. He also has copies of invoices of the industrial company that made the fakes that impact paid for. In short this is pretty much the nail in the coffin for Impact and us the racers. Impact will bankrupt leaving no money for returns.
