Re: $10K to win Stk/SS Race at Numidia
Brian,Lee, Numidia Dragway, all the sponsors I would like to thank you for putting on a great weekend. Really enjoyed the whole race set up. Racing was intense, got to test some things we have been wanting to try and just the way the whole event was run. Something pretty neat happened with 5 cars left in the 10k Mr Dimino came down to thank and wish good luck to the remaining racers that was very nice. As for the track best Numidia I have ever been on, my 330 #s varied .02 all weeekend with all of the weather changes and wind, a lot of tracks around the country could get some great advice from the track crew on how to prep the track. Once again thank you to everyone that helped out and put this event together. Looking forward to many more.

Re: $10K to win Stk/SS Race at Numidia
Congratulations to Ray Thurston for picking up the "Last Footbraker Standing" award, a free entry to the Fall Footbrake Frenzy III. If the footbrakin' class racers out there would like another shot at some seriously big money on a great track, we'd like to invite you to join us Thanksgiving weekend at Coastal Plains Dragway in Jacksonville, NC. Three races in two days... a $5K Friday, then a $20K and $5K on Saturday! Full flyer at www.staginglight.com/footbrake/
I saw a quite a few Staging Light customers out there in the lanes and in the pits this weekend, although none of them made it to the final round to collect on the contingency posting. I do have one other little incentive for y'all, though... Staging Light customers that display the decal all year long and earn a double digit (Top 10 in the Division) can get their 2-digit number decals at cost, and those making Top 10 in the world can get their single digits for free! Good luck this season! |

Re: $10K to win Stk/SS Race at Numidia
It was a pleasure to be a part of this great event. Lee and Brian, did an outstanding job of putting the event together. Bob Dimino and family and staff at Numidia were great hosts.
The track staff is a great group to work with, these people were top shelf, track prep was excellent. Many cars ran the same sixty foot times run after run. The whole thing couldn't have been better, only the weather could have been a little more cooperative. I do apoligize to all for not being able to stay on Sunday, my home track was open and as much as I'd like to have stayed I had to head home. Had a great time seeing old friends and meeting many new ones especially on Friday before the racing started. I had a great time and would love to announce the next one. I will come over to MG on Friday of the Lucas Oil race and get my fix of Stock / Super Stock! See you all soon. Mike Bassin |
Re: $10K to win Stk/SS Race at Numidia
I appreciate Lee and Brian sticking their necks out to put this race together. Special thanks to White, Welker & Welker, LLC and Glenn McDonald for a combined $100 for the longest tow. It helped take some of the sting out of the first round loss. I was looking forward to the opportunity of racing against more NHRA regulars and only had a chance to talk to a couple of racers I don't normally race against.
I do feel bad for Mark Faul from Washington state. But he did FLY in. ;) |

Was just happy to be there. And I bet you had more hours getting there anyway than I had in the 8.5 hour flight plus 3 hour tow from Lee's place near Baltimore. |

Glad the guys told us another way to tow back besides the way we came. |
Re: $10K to win Stk/SS Race at Numidia
A very well run race at a great dragstrip and facility. Thanks to Lee, Brian and especially the Dimino Family for putting super stockers and stocker center stage and making US feel like the stars of the show. They somehow did this without slighting their bracket program too. Very well thought out, I will definitely be back.
The traction was as good as it gets and so was the driving. I had the best streak of 60' times I ever printed... 6 slips in a row with the IDENTICAL to the thousandth 60 ft time. If anyone found something to complain about this weekend, there is no hope for them lol. Also thanks to Billy Leber for the loaner ride while my other cars are down south with the "Jamaican Wonder" lol. Peter Biondo www.BracketRaces.com |
