Does it mater what combo is soft? NHRA will do nothing to adjust what the bogus hp ratings are and will never put the correct cars in the correct class that they truly belong in. Just grin and bear it.

Is it possible that ALL combos can be soft due to minimal tech? Just throwing that out there. I believe in picking a combo that makes you happy car wise, and go racing, have fun, and work to improve it personally based on your budget. Races aren’t won, or lost on CR.

even if you pick a "good" combo it can be out of your control if it is a popular engine platform and somebody else beats it up.
It can also be hard to "protect" a combo that only a handful of cars run because there may not be enough others to bring the average down, or races left to do so.
I think NHRA trying to change things to make it harder to protect a combo is because there has been some obvious cases of protecting combos so they made it harder. Will it work or will racers find a way around it? Time will tell.
