Looks like ....

I do not put a lot of faith in NHRA or any other information post.

I will hold out hope that NHRA's schedule is semi-official over FaceBook or CompPlus.

Good Day,

I don't typically Chime in on most topics but everything so far seems to have a want to race as we all do but some sites say no fans? Now I am pretty much a local racer, my car can run Super Stock but we just support our local bracket program for now. If there are no fans that's is a lot of lost revenue for the NHRA the track and all the local hotels, restaurants, etc... My wife and I try to get to one or two national events a year as spectators. I know how much hotels and such cost and I am sure those places will sure miss the money on event weekends. I am not if the NHRA is looking at the bigger picture.

Just my 2 cents

I think we all want a better schedule. I dont know how the teams who lease engines will be able to keep up. Besides Force and Schu, Id be very surprised if all the pro teams can make every race if it stands at 16 straight weekends.

The NHRA needs the fans in the seats, they do not have a lucrative TV deal like Nascar, F1, MotoGp etc.... Without fans they do not make money, without the sportsman racers as well.

Look at the NHRA published schedule posted not a FB post

https://www.nhra.com/schedule/2020

It is not 16 straight weekends

Any sport (or whatever) can be scheduled. But the public has been justifiably scared away from going out into the world no matter what my heroes in government say. People (at least not in any number) aren't going to show up for any kind of event, anywhere, until there is a vaccine and/or cure that has been thoroughly distributed.
Human nature is making us tell ourselves that it's ok to go out. That is totally undestandable. But it is what will make the damned virus grow!
Even after a cure/vaccine, it will take years to get back to "normal". Just look at how the depression affected our parents, grandparents, etc. I still can hear my mom telling me to "turn out that light"!

No truth in your statement about it growing, everywhere you read the numbers are not what they seem. I think you will be surprised and see people get out and get back to normal. Besides id be surprised if anything could live around race gas and nitro fumes.

Speaking of Nitro, i believe it all comes from China.
