Re: LIVE from Indy - D3 LODRS
Mike thanks for the updates. Did they happen to say what time the qualifier runs would be for Comp , Top Sportman and Top Dragster? We might drove down from Michigan if the forecast looks promising.

Good morning. Today is looking much better and we will be racing today. To those that stayed away because of the weather forecast, catch the action on D3TV. And it rained hard yesterday till late in the afternoon. I'll be at the track soon with a report on preparations.

Update : 10:40 am and half way thru SST and we have an oil down.
Drew Whelan broke a yoke, driveshaft and pump in the trans on his first run Friday morning. He and his Dad thrashed and got back together in time to make the clean up run that nite. http://i40.photobucket.com/albums/e2...pstpsrepwo.jpg I want to thank Bill Dyer for helping me this weekend at the starting line. http://i40.photobucket.com/albums/e2...pssnpirlg1.jpg Denny Hillman has been running this stick shift Camaro Convertible since I started racing in D3 ..... Which was a long time ago http://i40.photobucket.com/albums/e2...psyjjfa2h7.jpg Mike McGinley drove the ex-Sam Hamod Firebird to Stock RU at the US Nationals several years ago. Sam bought this car new and it was immediately turned into a Stocker. http://i40.photobucket.com/albums/e2...pspzvkqq8m.jpg |
Re: LIVE from Indy - D3 LODRS
SS R1 is done. It's 1:15 and R1 of SC just finished. The TOP
Classes and Comp are up next for their second qualifying run. Stock is out for R2 after the Alcohol cars. It's cool to see that some SS cars have figured out you don't need a 14x32 To go fast. Both of the Running SS cars are on 9" tires. http://i40.photobucket.com/albums/e2...ps450ym3wo.jpg At the other end of the high buck toters and stackers are the Father and Son Campolito tow rig. These guys race with an open trailer and a Trailblazer SS tow vehicle. Eric qualified that cool Caprice Stocker on p14. Smart. http://i40.photobucket.com/albums/e2...pshttnfq5z.jpg http://i40.photobucket.com/albums/e2...psovujp47q.jpg http://i40.photobucket.com/albums/e2...psxltzo08h.jpg |
