Re: Questions re: "Grump's" 66 Nova
Geez! We can all be thankful that it was a towing accident. If Bill had been injured badly, it could have changed the face and events of drag racing history. It's truly amazing how 1 thing can completely alter things in life.
It boggles the mind when you put that into perspective. Thanks for sharing this photo Charlie. Walt |
Re: Questions re: "Grump's" 66 Nova

There is a guy who posts info on Grumpy's Facebook site that claims he helped Bill build the 66,and the replacement car.I sent him a inquiry, but got no reply.

Re: Questions re: "Grump's" 66 Nova
Thanks to Mr. T. Pogue, I was able to complete the engine bay this past weekend. The article he sent was great. It will also assist me with accurately detailing the rear suspension. Stay tuned(LOL).... I'll be posting a picture of the completed engine with the fender well headers tomorrow morning. Thanks again all.

The white 66 was sold to Joe Sedilko of Johnstown, Pa., who owned a Sunoco gas station in suburban Johnstown. Joe ran it for a while as a stocker, then put tunnel ram on it and ran it as a C/MP production car. He was pretty successful with it.
As I understand it, it's still in the area, although in pieces. Parts of it are in Bedford County, parts in Johnstown.....Joe knows where everything is. I also understand that big time collector Don Fezell is hot after it... |

Good morning all.
Here is a picture( maybe 2) of the completed engine bay. I did most of the rear suspension last evening, and included the extra shock that "Grump" added to the left rear spring. Next is making the exhaust system. Hope you like it. Walt |
