Shame on you guys! Since when is it against the law for a crotchety old guy to bitch? Mr. Bell has devoted most of his life to Drag Racing and is entitled to bitch. He has probably forgotten (maybe not yet) more than most of us will ever know about this sport! I may not agree with him but I will defend his right to bitch with my life! Something like that. I never said it was a poor man's class.I never said it's been a rich man's class.It's turning into a rich man's class at the top now.And as mostly Ford is releasing cars/engines with bogus HP factors,aided and abetted by NHRA,it will become a rich man's class for those who will want to keep up with the "big dicks" for class supremacy. The "little guy" will get hurt when enough of these cars infiltrate most of the classes and heads up runs in eliminations occur.Getting beat in class is no big deal,getting whomped in eliminations by a bogus HP car makes it hard to justify the expense to go to national events.Do you see my reasoning now? |
