I talked to Bob Dimino yesterday about the big 10k Stock / Super Stock race being contested at Numidia Dragway on Sat. May 7th. I will be announcing this great event. I'm looking forward to it in a big way. A big thanks for Lee Zane and Brian Van Poppel for putting this race together. The sponsors that are coming onboard will just make this even better. I will promote all those that are providing sponsor support for this race over the PA all day long, feel free to give me info about the products and services your business provides. Dave Ley will also attend, he will come up and share the mike at times and share his knowledge of Stock / Super Stock. I have no business or product to provide but I will give $100 to the winner and $50 to the runner up same as I do for the A/S challenge at Indy each year just to show support to such a great show. No special requirements required ! Just show up and race. Good luck to all.

Brian,

I'll pay $100 to anyone who attended 3 ASRA events last year or is a new member of the ASRA who is a semi-final round loser-I figure the guys who make it to the finals will take home enough money-they not getting mine, but the guys who go out in the semis could use a bit more scratch. I did this for the ASRA guys at the US Class Nationals in 2001, but nobody collected.

This race will be 1/4 Mile. The first round will be random pairing. After that we will go on a ladder based on reaction times.
