Re: Kearney Ne, Open National Records
Dear no-namer Ford Guy,
GM never showed up at SEMA and said they were hiding their Horsepower numbers from nhra. The rest of your post is hooey. Jimmy - Jeff, I hope you guys brought enough junk food for everybody. Jack, The barn the horse escaped from is smoldering. Glad to see you have seen the light. |
Re: Kearney Ne, Open National Records
Do you really think that GM or Chrysler would openly submit their Horsepower Sheets to NHRA ? My real name is right there in Black and White ( or maybe Gray) if you can figure it out. I will give you a clue, as I go by Dennis.

Dennis,
GM never said they were hiding their numbers from nhra. |
Re: Kearney Ne, Open National Records
Bruce -- All the car companies "fudge" a little -- its their job .If you remember I had the first '97 Firebird Formula ILE Ram Air with an automatic transmission - did you think I had " Job One " ? ( that even sounds a little like Ford ) Anyway the new wave of muscle cars are here - get used to it .I'd still like to have one of those Mustangs - they really are neat ................
PS - You also must have forgotten about my factory backed Olds Cutlass in the Eighties - they did more than fudge - but like all the rest it does catch up .........As you should be able to tell by now I'm well aware of whar factories can do ........look what they did for the Hemi . |
Re: Kearney Ne, Open National Records
Jack,
They are neat race cars. I have said it many times. Fudge a little? |
Re: Kearney Ne, Open National Records
Bruce,
Will you be racing at the Dutch? George and I are thinking about going and I would like to meet you as it seems that you are as passionate about sportsman drag racing as the best of us. Of course I will bring the popcorn, Jeff can bring his goodies, the fella that suggested the Italian beer (can't remember his name because somehow his post is missing, or maybe I dreamt up that one) can bring the beer, I think Dennis will go, maybe Jerry Maxwell, love to meet Jack as well, anyway if you go, that might just be enough to get the rest of us there- we will all have a grand ole time. Do you think you could get behind the wheel of the CJ? I am not kidding, you would absolutely love to drive this car. ANY one of you are welcome to come by our pit, ask anybody that knows me, at the track, I talk to everybody, maybe too much at times- sorry for that! Thanks, Jimmy |
Re: Kearney Ne, Open National Records
Jimmy,
I do plan to go to the Dutch. But as a spectator. I don't drink any booze but I'll take you up on the popcorn. |
Re: Kearney Ne, Open National Records
Maybe the time has come to classify stock and S/S by another means other than Factory, factored, or "Dart Board" HP per wt.???? They ALL seem bogus except for the ones that are not competitive. Cubic inches maybe? Add 1 1/2 times the cubes for a blower or turbo? Naaaaa, none of that would work either.
