That is one beautiful car! I had one back in the late '60s & early '70s, a 210 2 door with the 225 hp 2X4 bl solid lifter Vette engine. Didn't look that good.

Does anyone know if spectators can buy a ticket on Sunday or are they really sold out like someone mentioned earlier?

Doyle, I walked up to the ticket window today and bought a "standing room only" ticket for 30 bucks, no problem. I dont think you'll have any problem. Its certainly worth the trip.

I firmly believe "the Good Lord punished me". (and I guess I deserved it because I missed church last week)... lol

How often do you get a .007 against Peter..... ???
How often does he go .047 against anyone ????

Here's how it went.......
After I launched I checked the scoreboard to see if he went red...... nope.
I watched Peter in the mirror for half the track. About 800 feet I turned to find him and that's when it happened...... CLICK..... and the car just shut off.
The DARN coil wire popped out of the distributor cap (new wire that was just replaced at the start of the weekend. (6 runs ago).

O well..... I'm headed to church this morning......... for sure!

thats a hard luck story if I ever heard one... your luck will turn around
things like that are why I'm paranoid to change anything on the car until it is "confirmed dead".
I had a similar year.....at Atco points meet after I reassembled from the record teardown... I just remembered the valve lash all wrong (don't know why) and then couldn't run the dial because of it & lost in the round 1. At the Grove I had a map sensor go bad right before the 1st round... and that was that.... anyway - you have my sympathy .

just wondering if you had any idea in the next round, why Grace Howell dialed the index against Pete, whether it was intentional, accidental, or a misprint on DRC.

Thanks for the updates & pictures they were great....Sorry, to hear about your bad-luck with the coil wire.... You are right about getting breaks like that against Peter, it just doesn't happen... You will be back stronger than ever, say hi to dad.... Dave,
