We were supposed to open this weekend too, but no way.. IM shooting for next Wednesday...if that dont work, Next Saturday it is... Engine all done, and ready...just need to put hood on, recheck trans fluid, check rear wheel torque, and hopefully clean it up a bit... ready for testing...

New cam and limited travel lifters(CHris Hardy @ RET Racing Engines Techologies) all snuggled in their new home... Testing April 1st, if weather agrees... New 350 Trans, heater removed, built new carb( wont test until 2nd or 3rd outing)... 11.44/116/1.506 previous best, lookin for 11.20/118/1.47 :D

I know you are chompin at the bit to go Brent. It will be a miracle to get the Mustang ready by April 12th, first combo event at BG. I hope that 'Bird flies for you! :)

Rich, you gonna try to make Indy, May1? Im planning on it, unless the weather looks too sketchy, then i will focus on Norwalk Divisional , later in the month...

Well, testing at Indy this Sunday! Muncie closed, due to too much water in the pits( massive rains this week)... Hope to get some good clean passes with the new cam/lifters/trans... Hopefully they will have scales operating...

Well. just getting around to posting my results from last weekend's testing... Wasnt what i was hoping for, but i think i can find some ET... Big cam didnt do what i thought it would do, but i may be off of carb tune(maybe on the rich side), and will fiddle with timing again on the next test day... car went, in order, 11.50/11.51/11.50 changed carbs 4th pass, stuttered 11.64/115, and put original carb back on for 5th pass : 11.49
Below is a link to some video.... 3 passes out of 5... last past , after 4 min mark, was the 11.49 pass, left the best. I did mess with metering on 2nd run, but it didnt like more fuel, so i put it back, mainly to see if car would launch better...i think it may've needed less fuel.

It will come around Brent. I got the trans back in the Camaro today...will see what direction I took over the winter hehe. :p
