To me, it just looks like those racers are showing an expression of our sacred First Amendment rights of Free Speech. Just my opinion.

You can't watch any other sport without the politics of things that have nothing to do with the sport being officially pushed on you by the league or associations at large whether you agree or not. These examples contained here are not official, just people speaking for themselves in a non threatening manner, and it's refreshing to see. I'm tired of politics attempting to define my life whether I agree or not, after all, the 1st Amendment applies equally to us all. Thanks for posting, Ken!!

You are correct! It does not have anything to do with the cars, it has a lot to do with our sport and n hobby!

It is a difficult thing to overlook the political aspect of our sport.

One party is strongly pushing a "Green Deal"...that it could not only kill our sport, but also prevent us the enjoyment of working, modifying and building our cars.

Think about it...

How many tracks have closed and how many local governments are trying to close dragstrips?

How about the legal issues that Bandimere is dealing with because of the local government?

How about the threat from the past administration EPA to our sport, that SEMA had to fight for and collect signatures? The EPA legislation that threatened our sport was written by the previous administration. If they had won the election, the EPA rules would have passed and hurt our hobby.

So in a nutshell...how many of you would enjoy driving and drag racing electric cars?

I am glad the race seems to be going ahead mostly like normal. It's on TV here in about 20 minutes.

Eric Trump being at the race is pretty cool. I have no idea if he is a dedicated fan that goes every year or if it is political pandering. And if the latter is the case that legitimizes drag racing.

It is kind of important for our future. Don't think you can still enjoy drag racing your electric cars. The mandated self driving government issued electric car may not have any drag strips in it's pre-programmed routes.

Sigh, yes, the rare chance to see live drag racing on the channels i get and it rains. They were just showing the electric Cobra Jet and now the electric Harley, i think showing Stock and Super Stock recap would be more appreciated.

Not to be overly pickee, but that showed yesterday also, I have loved these cars since '68, and instead of all of this jibber-jabber they were doing, they could have showed more than the Hemi Parade and the finals.They have it on tape and it would have been great to see the whole event

Telling your story is fine. Is blowing your tires off a reason to incite a boycott of the div5 points meet? Others have posted they're not having traction issues.
