Thank you to everyone for all the congratulations! And I want to apologize for not keeping everyone up to date this week, but our internet service was nonexistant!

This has really been a great day! Larry drove well and got lucky when he needed it. Thank you to all of you who were pulling us thru all day!

I took a few pics with my cell phone that I will try and post, but with all the excitement, I left my camera in the motorhome and didn't go back for it until after things calmed down a little.

We are on the road tonight headed home to Kentucky. There was no steak dinner, but a pimento cheese sandwich as we drove down the road. The steak will have to come later. My sister Tammy's birthday is tomorrow and we are invited for pizza and birthday cake tomorrow night so we will drive for a while. I doubt we could sleep right now anyway.

Larry said it was great to be in the winners circle, but it was also great to see Jeff Taylor and his wife seeing their son there also for winning super stock for his 1st win! Also Willie coming up to him and saying I remember seeing you win the last time in Atlanta in 1995 in the little red pickup truck. You know that last trophy being 17 years old is almost old enough to drink!

We had a great time this week despite the heat with the Cottens and the Bells. Thanks to Mike and Paula and Mike Fuller and our son Chris for helping us with information since we were not able to get any internet service. Also thanks to the McFarlands for letting us borrow their internet service while they were there.

We took some pics earlier in the week that I will try to post after I get them on to PhotoBucket.

Well we drove half way home last night on adrenaline! Stopped about 2 am and now we are about ready to get back on the road. About another 6 hours or so and we should be home.

Since I did not get to post during the week at the race, I will try to backtrack and let you know a little of the happenings.

First of all, congrats to Steven Dzorny for his graduation from high school. His Mom, Jennifer McCormack had a party for him at the track on Friday night. Great cake made by Ginny Running! Steven is the only other person to have won a national event in a pickup truck besides Larry. He won the Columbus Jegs Sportsnationals last year in his grandmother Judy's truck. He is a good kid who makes good grades and has been offerred some great scholarships! So "Good job, Steven"!

Another big item was the heat! It was really miserable sitting outside. I did not sit in the stands except for when Stock was running. I did watch some super stock from the shade of the golf cart, but then quickly ran back to the motorhome to the air conditioning!

We really didn't hear much gossip or rumors this week since it was too hot to get out and visit much!

Larry took some pics of the first round of super stock that I am going to post today as we go down the road. So more a little later!

Oh, another note, thanks to the Skillmans for the great steak and chicken dinner on Saturday night. After such stimulating conversation following our .0000 win on Saturday, it was really nice to sit down to a relaxing dinner and watch the end of the Nascar race with Bill and Ray!
