Well it is a beautiful, but damp morning here. Heavy, heavy dew. It is so bad, I thought it had rained overnight. They just came around and called stock up. We get 2 runs, then class. Thanks ya'll for the good wishes.

I guess over the years, I have been spoiled by the good announcing of Leo Tougher and Allen Rhinehart and Bob Unkefer. They need to teach the announcer at South Georgia about announcing. He never told who was running but about half of the first round. I am sure he doesn't read this, but we want to know who is going down the track and at the time they are running! Anyway, looking forward to some great announcing and great racing today. More later.

71 stockers went down for 1st run. Air was about 500'. Fitzsimmons is #1 at 1.17 under. Johns in his wrecked car went 1.02 under. 9 B/SA cars.

A few picked up 2nd round, but most slowed 1 or 2. Ficacci got him some automatic HP at 1.32 under.
More later. They are running super stock now, then stock class. Buggs Dennis just oiled the track, so we are down for a little bit.

Sorry I haven't been posting, but it was pretty busy yesterday and then when I tried to get online last night, I couldn't. AT & T service here is not very good. I don't know if it has anything to do with the Solar whatever or what, but at best it is iffy.

I am going to try to get more pics today. We are getting ready to run in about a half hour. More later.

Just rode the golf cart out by the gate where we were parked earlier and finally got some reception. Sorry I haven't been able to get out more.

Well we got by the first 2 rounds and run the 3rd tomorrow morning at 8. We have had little showers of rain this afternoon. Maybe more rain tomorrow. Super stock round 2 is later on this evening.

Mopar has invited all the Mopar racers to a bar-b-q this evening. So thanks Mopar.

A few no-shows for round 1 this morning. Ficacci because he blew up yesterday. Kincaid because of a heads up with Boudreau and accordingly to Dick--he didn't want to waste $11.25 worth of race fuel. I don't know why Plourd didn't show up.

Well more later. I have some pics for later.

Patsy, I guess Kevin and I didn't see you when you and Larry waved.

We planned to do some live reporting, but my lap top is down, and we couldn't get Kevin's to stay connected.

Kevin and I would like to say thank you to Top Dragster racer Steve Estes. Steve owns Georgia Truck, RV, and Performance Center at exit 201 on I-75. On Tuesday night, Kevin and I were around the 204 mile marker when we lost not one, but two tires on the left side of the trailer. We managed to put on one spare, and limp to the 201. After spending the night at the Speedco, which was closed, we got the truck serviced, and they sent us to Steve's place. We got there just as he opened. Steve not only found us six brand new tires for the trailer, he got them from Atlanta, then mounted and balanced them for us, and gave us an incredible deal. We cannot say enough about how well Steve treated us. So if you're ever anywhere close to there and have trouble, or if you're in the area and need anything, go see Steve Estes at Georgia Truck, RV, and Performance Center.

We had our new engine (special thanks to Jimmy Bridges for a great set of heads, and intake, and a lot of help and support) in "Marvin the Martian", that green SS/EA 69 Camaro, it just came off the dyno the Friday before we left for South Georgia. We're still getting things sorted out, but wanted to thank the guys at Quick Fuel, Art and Brandon Wlikinson, Kenny Schindler, and Gene Abbot, for help and advice with several things.

While we didn't have a lot of success at South Georgia or Gainesville, we did have a pretty good time, and saw a lot of friends.

We'll see you all at the races soon.

guys I'm figuring Patsy has not posted anything cause the internet stinks at Gainesville for wifi, anyhow i was at 1000ft this morning and looks like 2 step problem or just a bobble, anyhow car went through the lights for Larry. he was looking great in eliminations. for us we left at 4pm, to cold, to windy and we said we had enough, on to Belle rose

Nitro Joe, you were right. Larry did have a 2 step problem. It was fun getting to the 4th round. Just wish it hadn't been Jeff who beat us then. That would have been better in the finals. We are staying to cheer Jeff on! I have some pics I am going to try and post. The internet here has been awful. If I don't get them to go now, I will post them after we leave here.

We are still here in Gainesville, waiting to cheer Jeff on! They are drying the track now. Just a little bit of rain for the last couple of hours. Still have lots of pics to post but I don't get to stay on long enough to get them done. We are leaving first thing in the morning for the 600 mile trip to Belle Rose, so I will post on the way if I can't tonight.

Well nothing is going on here. They were drying the track, but now nothing is happening. We were watching basketball Bracketology and missed the announcement if we are done for the evening but evidently that is the case.

I'm glad Patsy never made it down to "the beach" to take pictures...I look like a bumblebee in the yellow & black firesuit!

Well here we are still in FL on Monday morning. The Top Fuel cars are about to go down. There are 4 cars left in all the pro categories. Hopefully things will go well today and they will finish up they are hoping by 1. Then we will be on the road headed to Belle Rose. We will give you updates along if the internet holds out.
