It clearly states on the website: Opens Wednesday 08:00 AM PT for each grade with the corresponding date below (All Times are Pacific) that means the east coast opens at 4am now. I thought it was odd but figured they were just switching it up this year, it also shows grade 8 and grade 7 opening today. https://www.nhraeventreg.com/2024relsched.html

Unfortunately, a few racers vacation plans have changed and that’s a shame ……

From NHRA D2 Facebook page
ATTENTION GAINESVILLE PARTICIPANTS!
We are aware of the situation regarding early Gatornationals entries. Eventreg will be shut down until we can address the situation. When we know what is happening we will update all racers accordingly. Thank you.

I really feel for those who assumed it would go like previous years. Congratulations to those who had a friend tip them off.
I wasn't going anyway so I really just wanted to see how fast it closed.

It is truly an "invitational" like that other race.

I clicked on to watch and it said Quota reached at 10:01 central time. I thought something wasn’t correct.

Re: Gators Registration

NHRA can make so much money if they took 120 entries in the Sportsman Categories (stk,ss,sc & sg) and run first round on
Monday (the day after the points race).
Whatever the quota’s are in the other Sportsman classes just double it and run first round on Monday for them too.
Most racers go to the points race anyway.
Than for the Nationals they’ll have their original car quota.

All that extra car count money, some of it could go towards a bigger payout.
Wishful Thinking I Know !!!

Why not make it a 128 qualified field and let 150 cars in ? Maybe help their AHFS work. 90 more cars = $31950.00
