Re: Divisional at Famoso
GTX that is what the engine specs showed for a 64 383, Today!

Re: Divisional at Famoso
That’s a premeditated blatant cheat. One year off if it was fair. NHRA needs to take a closer look at this.

Re: Divisional at Famoso
This story gets worse the more I think about it.
So I can throw a COPO engine in my 89 Camaro H/SA or a CJ engine in my 92 Mustang K/S (remember there is barely any tech inspection now, correct?), and if I get caught, I can just claim ignorance and say "Sorry, I meant to enter SS in a FGT class????" I sincerely hope there are more details we aren't hearing. |

They’ve run the same car in SS/JA previously with an Edelbrock single plane intake. I truly believe this was an honest mistake and the driver, when he was told by another racer that he had the incorrect casting on the engine, self-reported himself to NHRA and was permitted to reclassify into SS. |

Any racing photos?

Re: Divisional at Famoso
The car looks great in the picture with attention to detail everywhere a person could look.

Re: Divisional at Famoso
Presumably the attention to detail would extend to completion of the online tech card but perhaps that’s no longer necessary in this online tech era.

Re: Divisional at Famoso
How about some comments from veteran D1 or D3 racers……..could you get away with this back east? Has this been done before?
Run 1.20 under and withdraw, then re enter in SS? And if so, is this another way to avoid the HP hit? |
