Never liked the turbo action and how it slides from Neutral into 1st for T-400 reverse application. You never really know if it's truly in first where it should be, whereas a ratchet is in or its not.

I know for the 727/904 shifter they offer two gates. One has a positive stop for first. The other, like you stated, can be used with an air shifter. I agree, you have to be careful with that gate. The other one is nearly fool proof when manually shifting.

If you ran a glide you couldn't beat a Perry shifter...gsa612

B&M Quick Silver. Forward or reverse pattern.
NHRA and IHRA approved.
Using mine 20 years. Just changed cable once. It fell on exhaust. My fault.

I've seen 30 year old Cheetah's that still work flawlessly.
Had one in my own Stocker .

I have been looking at these and it appears they are out of stock. In all fairness I only checked Jegs and Summit. I believe the part number is 70012. Heading to Vegas next month. I might have to focus and squeeze the trigger for 3rd. ;)

PS, The BBB is cool but out of my pay grade.

Chad ,you can buy direct from Turbo Action . Jegs ,Summit and others are not stocking a lot of parts and are drop shipping direct from the manufacturer.
Although the prices might be slightly higher and you'll pay shipping ,at least you can get the part.
I've had to go this route with a lot of parts in the past year.

I'm also a fan of B&M pro ratchet.

With a forward pattern 3 spd I've messed up the squeezing the lever, the worst is when you ease off the lever and end up pushing it to neutral. I've used the B&M Pro Ratchet and it's a great shifter. Turbo Action is good and does away with squeezing the lever.

That's about all I know about adjusting the shifter itself and it did work for me
Steve

Dug out the instruction sheet for MY PPP today, it clearly states that final adjustments should be done in Second gear. That is on a P-R-1-2-3-N PATTERN
