Won't say I'm surprised about WHP...Look how close the city is to it now.

Just a bit sorry that I had a nice , economical driver here..until about a week ago :-(

This could be the tale as cities expand as the population increases. Any track that is close to a big city just might face the same situation. Not trying to be a doomsday person, but looking at the reality of the situation. As the population increases, the boundaries of the cities are pushed out. New home developments and other communities are created. What will go first, those noisy race tracks that people complain about. I am PRAYING that we have drag strips to go to 10 years from now.

Sad to see this track going away and it looks like Fontana may also be going away, Anybody got information in what's going on with Fontana?. Their website says its closed due to Covid, but autocross, track days and carting are still running every weekend.

In the Wild Horse Facebook page they are either trying to appease the upset racers or just doing PR. They claim they are committed to continue operating the track.

From all of us at the Wild Horse Pass Motorsports Park, we are fully aware of the conceptual map that was released as part of a commercial redevelopment plan here at Wild Horse Pass. That being said, this design is exactly what it is, conceptual, and does not change the fact that we are continuing to push through the challenges of COVID-19 to facilitate hosting as many motorsports events as possible in 2021, as well as a push to come back even stronger in 2022. We have been a staple in the Arizona Motorsports community for nearly 40 years and don't plan on changing that heritage anytime soon!
