I'm, sorry Force got hurt! And you can bet your bottom dollar that Ron did not know about it when he began this thread. Nor is there any sense in trying to link Ron's post to Forces bad luck. Just some guys trying to make a mess of things.

As the story goes - about ten years ago. A collection "bucket" for an injured Sportsman racer was placed near John Force's pit at Pomona. Force noticed the "bucket" and asked his staff what it was doing there - they told him the story. His response... Get rid of the collection bucket and let the Sportsman racers take care of themselves.

Glad to help you on your trip Jason.
I'm wondering about an 8 hour pass on a "huge liner" ?
You traveling on an....Air-liner ? Or Ocean-liner ?
Can't go very far in 8 hours on an Oceanliner, but airliners don't have chairs to fall out of. Only "seats"

It's killin me, where are ya and what are you doing ?

The Pros had a meeting with NHRA a few months ago and someone asked a question concerning the future of sportsman at National Events - Vandergriff was quoted as saying that if it were up to him - sportsman would not be allowed on the property. I now ship with FED-EX.

Larry, I feel your pain if this is true. But his crew chief ,Jim Dupuy, knows more about sportsman racing than most all crew chiefs put together. Anyone that knows him or his father Lynwood, knows that they are sportsman racing people. That is why NHRA got rid of Lynwood, because he was friends with too many racers and Dim Light was scared that he could take his job.

[QUOTE=Ron Ortiz;41862] The first thing I read is a statement from Tim H and his stupid comment. As you can see by my following post I found it neither amusing or needed.

lighten up, enjoy yourself down there in sunny Fla.

and I wonder if Vandergriff would be able to do the PRO thing if it weren't for the sportsman racers who bought Hedman Husler products from his family's business for all those years. He and brother Chris have been able to afford all the racing they have done due to a prosperous business supported by sportsman racers. JMT>

I don't know about "As the story goes" but I have to come to John Force's defense in this area. I know all of you have heard about the Kaylee Greer accident in the junior dragster back the end of March. John and Ashley both sent a substanial donation to her and many other gifts. They also personally called the hospital and spoke with her parents 'if' she had been able to speak at the time I am sure they would have spoken to her. There has also been follow up calls to check on her progress. Chad, her father attended the US Nationals as a spectator and John welcomed him into his pits, trailer, motorhome and introduced him to many of the pro racers. Chad was very impressed by the down to earth attitude with the Force family. I know they have helped the Greer family out and both John and Ashley want to some day personally meet Kaylee. She still loves to watch drag racing and continually watches John and Ashley compete. She was very upset over the accident John was involved in. I am not saying that "As the story goes" did not happen, but I have seen the proof of what he has done for one sportsman racer and it was well beyond just a donation. The man has a heart along with the rest of the Force family. Our thoughts and Prayers are with the Force family. God's Speed for a complete recovery.

Donna Morris

ps Mr. Noland nothing was meant against you as I am sure this was a story you were told by someone. I just had to tell what I know John Force has done to help out a racer and her family in need.
