I'm not the expert on these, but according to my AERA Catalog Listing {which is accurate}.

The #3969854 Casting

Was found in both the 2-Bolt Main and 4-Bolt Main configuration.

Castings
* late-1969. 396...... { 325 HP ~ 350 HP ~ 375 HP }
* 1970 ....... 402...... { 330 HP ~ 350 HP ~ 375 HP }
* 1971........ 402.......{ 300 HP }
* 1972........ 402...... { 240 HP }

This Block casting was found in the Camaro ~ Chevelle ~ Nova

What is the Suffix Code.......

Is a Hydramatic Transmission.

What is the Prefix Portion of the Engine Code on the machined
pad of the Block, in front of the Passenger Side Cylinder Head.

We need '3' letters

I would do just about anything to make a pass in this car the way it's sits or any 60's type Pro Stock car for that matter!!
