That's a nice looking Fairlane and that red is really RED! I like it! :)
I know your putting steel wheels on it but if not that, consider the original style Centerlines.

Is it something a amature can use in a garage?

That Red is beautiful, is that a white base coat or sealer?
All I have used in my shop since 2005 is Southern Polyurethanes Inc. epoxy primer, urethane primer and clears. SPI does not offer a lot of colors but now they have red, black, white and matte black or clear. SPI is made for the guy working out of his garage and has great customer service. The white is a reduced coat of epoxy which makes the SPI Red pop.

I never said I was putting steel wheels on it.

It may be old school with leaf springs but the rest will be up to date.

I can appreciate that,,, the car is looking great. Maybe some day you can mount up a set of classic Cragar S/S rims for "special occasions". Nice project, Rusty.

I would use Keystone Classics like I had on my Mustang back in the 70's.

When your shooting a color that they don't supply, whose brand do you use?

You mean Keystone Kustomags. That would look awesome! I have a set of NOS front 4" wide. They only prob. is I have 4.75 bolt pattern. I bought them for my 70 cuda ordered willwood brakes & they came with only 4" & 4&1/2 bolt pattern.So I ended up getting torque thrust pro wheels for it. If you want a mint set if the bolt pattern works for you p.m. me...Tom

I was using Diamont but have switched to Pro Spray lately. I spray the base one day waiting an hour between coats and the next day spray SPI clear. I also painted one using PPG.

We finished wet sanding and Brian started buffing the top of the quarter panel
