Re: Calling out all Mustangs

David, let me give you guys some credit here. I live in outside of Raleigh, NC and from my house I can be at 7 race tracks in 1hour and 45 minutes. If I want to drive 3 hours I know there is over a dozen race tracks we can race at. I continuously see our local racers going to California, Texas, Florida and other races but do not show up at local tracks. It is good that you support your local tracks.

Houston is a haul for the D1 guys. Can someone post all the weights? The rulebook seems a little vague.

NOOOOO!

Naturally-aspirated, (eight cylinders), is 3250 pounds!

In fact, here are the OFFICIAL weights as they're listed in the rulebook:

3250 lbs: All vehicles using a naturally-aspirated engine with eight cylinders
3400 lbs: All vehicles using a naturally-aspirated engine with more than eight cylinders
3550 lbs: All vehicles using a supercharged or turbocharged engine

In all seriousness, if any of you folks find "vague areas" in the rules, let me know so we can clarify. They're pretty new, ya know!

(Weights are listed pretty clearly under "Weight", Mike! LOL! It's in the Chassis section.)

Re: Calling out all Mustangs

Bret , does that mean the 2012 copo 427 is 3250 ?

The V10 weight is very soft , all the Mopar weight are soft in my opinion . I was planning on making races but looking at David's reply it will be hard to pass up D1 races and nationals .

Bret , whats the payout to win ? who pays contingency ? will there be a world champ at years end ? Why do currently licensed NHRA driver need a new physical when they are current in NHRA and our license can transfer ?

David , that's Cajun math on that V10.

Joey bring the Guist Brothers to the race and it will be packed . Let them cook some gar fish

I think Bo Butner CJ is the car to beat

I mean, I like the simplicity but the 427 Cobra Jet, 5.7, 5.9, and 6.1 Mopar are all running at the same weight?
