June 2003 68 chevelle wagon O/SA 12.56 @ 105.42 1/4 mile
7.93 @ 85.02 1/8 mile I think the most gratifying thing about setting records is'nt being the fastest but the work that goes into it, the late nights the help of your friends, the excitement of it all. And when we're old and all done with the sport you can look on the wall and say i did it! |

Re: National Record Holders
In July 2005, I set both ends of the M/S record, for both the 1/4 &1/8th mile, at the Div.6 Mission Nat`l Open, and the N/S MPH record at the Mission Divisional meet in May. I had actually set both ends of N/S,(1/4 mile) but since the race was rained out on Sunday, and posponed to the Seattle Divisional in August, the record didnt get submitted until the completion of the Mission race at Seattle. By then, Bill Dyer had eclipsed my ET portion, so I just got the MPH end. I gotta admit, I took the easy way out, since both records had been at a minimum for some time.
But at least I got to partake in the joy of 2 teardowns in 3 months! |
