Re: Live from Orlando
Crash was a black AMX (Roger Ward) and a Beretta (Carmicheal). Information I'm getting is the Beretta had steering breakage (found a tie rod at the finish line) and he plowed into the AMX. AMX went on the roof, both drivers are okay but both cars are likely done.

Re: Live from Orlando
hey Chuck, you say it was 2000 ft below sea level? Could you be so kind to tell me what the barometric pressure was, temperature and humidity? I still use the long method for figuring altitude from the pressure temp and wet bulb. Just curios on what the basic numbers are. I have not opted for a weather station yet. Thanks Steve Williams S/g 351N Probe

Re: Live from Orlando
Well, I've been kicking my self most of the day for my usual finish line driving job. First round RU suck especially when its your own fault. Yea, yesterdays DA was -1750 when I got up. I've never seen that low a reading, and my home track is MIR Bar was 30.25. The second pair of S/ST cars got tangled up at the finish line, both drivers got out fine but the cars not so good. http://i1129.photobucket.com/albums/...Orlando115.jpghttp://i1129.photobucket.com/albums/...Orlando111.jpghttp://i1129.photobucket.com/albums/...Orlando038.jpghttp://i1129.photobucket.com/albums/...Orlando044.jpg

Re: Live from Orlando
Finally found a rule book for 2012 and looked up s/st and roadsters. I t stated that street roadsters were allowed. Is stated, cars with no tops were not allowed. I am a little bit confused. I thought street roadsters would be like a 32 Ford, of something like that. I don't run in s/st, but I use to a long time ago, till they raised the minimum weight and went to a half second tree. I always felt, that s/st would be for the vegas, mustangs, mavericks, novas, and full body camaros, and dusters and stuff like that. I enjoy they way s/st is, or was with the old muscle cars. I saw a street roadster is s/st about 5 years ago, and it had, I believe, a 4 cylinder in it. And could weigh in at 2100 lbs . If this is the way the rules are going to be interepted, then I still think they should open it up and allow dragsters in S/g with throttle stops and have the index at 9.9, And maybe we would see a 200 mph dragster running s/g. I don't see much difference. I really don't what to see people cutting the roofs of of there mustangs and camaros and running s/st. I don't think this is what I envisioned, when I had to move up a class when they raised the minimum weight. Every one is trying to get a advantage by doing the extreme. I say get rid of the minium weight and allow dragster in s/g. That way a guy could have two dragsters and run one is s/c and the other in s/g and a roadster in s/st.;)
