This would help also but its all become a joke. Maybe NHRA should start running stock and S/S like comp with a CIC except use 5 tenths as the "Hammer Point" for the HP hit instead of an index change.

Five tenths? Ouch! Almost everybody runs more than five under. That's a LOT of hp getting handed out. Somebody in Glendora would be really busy for a good while. Probably end up like Comp with only fifteen to twenty cars showing up.

lol....yeah maybe 5 tenths is a little to much. Its just sad that so many play these stupid games yet complain and bitch when the class cars can not draw spectators and NHRA treats them as red headed step children. Is it any wonder that the contengices are falling faster than the number of cars showing up to race. I know the economy dosent help things but the class racers are their own worst enemy. Who would want to watch a show with every one letting off at 1000 ft or prearanging the winner of a heads up run to save their HP factors. The class cars are about as exciting as watching the start, stop, stumble cars anymore. Performance is secondary to a bracket race. The AHFS will NEVER work because of this.

The NHRA doesn't want to deal with SS and stockers as they are trying to limit their expenses and generate more revenue. The less people they have to pay for SSer and stocker monitoring the better, so policing will be at a minimum in regards to their budget. The business office will surely look at their SPC charts and cut the program out if it's becoming too much of a problem. Your best bet is to start a SS and Stocker sanctioning body (and create your own rules) to help the NHRA and IHRA out and make everyone perform volunteer work and police others if they want to race.

You have a point but the problem is the a$$holes with their own interests at heart.
How many people on here have actually posted in defense of someone elses interests?
They bitch there are to many classes in one post, then cry to add classes for the new cars in another.
They want the index hit just enough as to not effect them.
They want rules changes that helps them, but doesn't effect others.
Thats why what you posted will never work.

Exactly what I was thinking and one of the reasons I ditched my "Stocker" project in favour of having fun with our Stick Shift group.

Didn't they add 3 tenths in the early 90s?
