I was in a slump. If it wasn't for Comp I wouldn't have won much at all in the last few years. With all of the advantages afforded by being a "touring professional sportsman" and with all of those wonderfulful extra laps down the track, I must really suck to win as little as I do.

Because as Don has so eloquently, and repeatedly, pointed out, ANYONE that races as much as I do would win all the time due to the TREMENDOUS advantage afforded to the "touring professional sportsman".

By the way, I hope to see you at NYIRP this weekend, as I'll be there running our family's 13 flat wagon instead of making excuses as to why I don't win and others do...

Hey Dan- Check the U-Joints before u go. LOL

Someone told me YEARS ago about a comment that Edmond Richardson said after someone told him that he was the luckiest guy around because he was always winning. "Yea, and the more I race, the luckier I become" Bottom line is that you can't beat seat time/experience. When I started bracket racing sometime back, my "mentor" told me that I would have to learn to lose a hundred ways before I would ever win and he was right. Dan is good because he has raced and is still racing A LOT - Plain and simple. I can guarantee, though, that he would give up several weekends to be able to stay home and watch his kids play sports but he is on the road earning a living!!
