Re: Calvert?
Took John Irvings advice and called Mike Rice but have not heard back. I also called John Calvert. I started by apologizing for even questioning the car swap. Told John I hoped he got no negative feedback about this and I guessed next time I would not bother questioning when I felt something didn't seem right. We talked for over 1/2 hour on that topic and 4-speeds to Cobra Jets to Clutchless transmissions. Without me asking John said I could post any part of our discussion but all I will say is he is a true gentleman and he did exactly what I would have done and exactly what he should have done. He went to the event director and asked if he could make the swap. He was told yes and hopes that the right call was made. John was concerned that some might think he pulled a fast one but I am sure after talking to him his intent was just to race but only if it was a correct call and he was told it was.

Re: Calvert?
Don't know if anyone cares but I got an email back from Mike Rice and he wrote "I made a mistake in allowing it to happen. Call it what you want, but that is the bottom line.". Now as Mr. Kelley would say, that is the "end of story". At least for me.
