Does it have to PASS tech ?

I would think so.. Best thing to do is call the division director or tech director and ask them.

If you want to get two grade points, why don't you tech the DP in super stock and the SRT or a rental car in stock?

The SRT8 is a 2008 Challenger and it isnt in the Guides, odd but true, 2008 is absent from the Dodge guides.

But thats a good idea.....

The Pacifica is in the guides so maybe well use that one.

Can you call the 2008 a 2009? I have never heard of NHRA asking to see a registration.

Does the SRT8 have a roll bar? What class would the Pacifica be in? As long as it's N or lower you don't need a roll bar.

In 2008 I was told it must pass tech and fuel check in order to get a grade point

That seems to vary by division. In 2008 I teched my street car in made a run but failed fuel and still got the grade point.

I would but the only 2009 Challenger in the guides are the DP cars, and the SRT8 isnt "kosher"

Totally different setup on FI and everything, even hood, etc....the SRT8 is a cool car but it aint a DP no matter how much it wants to be :D

In S/St you won't have to worry about fuel check. But, you will need a rollbar/cage and aftermarket axles.
