Re: NHRA gold card question??
This is a real interesting thread, I just won an IHRA,
gold and silver card for winning the Summit Super Series N/Box World Championship, at Rockingham, guess I need to find someone who wants a driver for their stock eliminator car for next season, Could be an interesting upcoming season. I assume I could use the cards for that purpose, correct me if I am wrong? Davey Boyd |
Re: NHRA gold card question??
If you have a gold card you still have to pay the insurance $ 60..00 plus have a competition number for the bracket you are entering. I never had a gold card but I did on line entries for some one who did have a gold card.

Re: NHRA gold card question??
I finished # 8 in NHRA stock in 1988. All i got was a form letter from them saying I could change my number to #8 for the 1989 season.the next year they started to give out silver cards .It actually cost me money to finish #8 because the next year I had to change my numbers back !!!!!

Re: NHRA gold card question??
I`ve held an NHRA Gold Card on two different occasions,in `96 for the Division 5 Stock Champonship and in 2003 for the Summit ET Division 5/National Championship, and with both cards every entry was paid the next season. That included every bracket race and NHRA event, but I did have to pay the required insurance for Nat`l Events. As far as the grade point issue,I already had grade points,so I can`t respond to that topic. Some tracks can honor Gold Cards in different ways, and can decline them in certain events like jackpot races. Lane
