Re: Live from Norwalk!
Larry
sounds a little shakey out there...........and maybe a little more shakey for some of the other classes. It was also posted some where about a bump in the track? any word there ? Thanks for the "Live " stuff...........................nice for the folks that can't make the race.. Keep Cool Rick Bailey |
Re: Live from Norwalk!
Anyone know why there is a delay in posting the runs?

Re: Live from Norwalk!
Just got back from 2nd run. Most everyone picked up a little. The track was a little better then. We have class in just a few minutes.
More later. Patsy |
Re: Live from Norwalk!
Well, we won the first round of class. Dinkel spun worse than we did. In A/SA==Boster beat Wilkes, Ficaci beat Duell, Fletcher beat Grubbs, Boburka had the bye, Line beat Bailey. In AA/SA---Pendarvis redlighted against Shaul, Miele b eat Barton and then we left.
For those of you who remember Byron, IIL a few years ago, it is almost that bad here. Debbie Boster, Jan Fuller and I were sitting in the stands dying in the heat keeping times and then I said "We can print these rounds of class off DRC so we came back to the air conditioning. Sorry but it is just too hot!! We run again shortly. More later. Patsy |

Re: Live from Norwalk!
Well Boster beat us on the tree and outran us but just barely. The loser had to shuck the corn for supper. Lance Line blew the tires off.
Is Bill or Eddie your dad? Both are nice men. Well, more later. |

Here is a picture of my car and Rock Haas in tech this morning. Its a super nice ride, man I'm jealous. I wanted to post early in the day, but class was more work than I thought it would be.
I should have been beat in the first round of class by David Barton. David Barton has to be the fastest AA car in the country right now along with John Shaul. I don't care what the CJ's are running, they have not won Class and so until they beat someone, David and John are the cars to beat. David spun pretty bad, so I was able to move to the next round. My car was not running the way I thought it should have. We only had 3 runs on the engine so I was hoping every run it would get quicker. Special thanks to David Barton for helping me cool the car down after his lost to me. Also thanks to Bill Hawk, If not for him I would have never been here. The final round of class for AA had me and John. The air was about 4400ft, with a barometer of 28.89 and the temp 95. We picked the up car a few more hundreds, but had nothing for the old Fox. Every time we race class John always has something for me. Had lots of fun, even without the class win, great job John. I'm sure Patsy and Larry have more to add to the happenings at Norwalk, this is just a little part of my story. |

Stolen from DRC:
Car#-Driver(Opp'nt)-RT-----ET---Speed-----Car#-Driver(Opp'nt)-RT----ET---Speed 1044 John Shaul 1656 Ken Miele C3 ****WINNER**** 0.061 10.052 130.81 0.016 10.116 130.47 AA/SA Index: 10.90 (+/-): -0.848 AA/SA Index: 10.90 (+/-): -0.784 Prior rounds: Qualified: #43 10.110 129.94 #64 10.240 128.59 This is for the AA/SA trophy. Miele made a race of it, but John Shaul's MOV: 0.0198 seconds (approximately 4 feet). Looks like you gave him a pretty good run there. |
Re: Live from Norwalk!
Good job Larry and Patsy in your first round win!

Re: Live from Norwalk!
After the rain last night the computer did not want to get on line. Sorry I didn't get anything posted. Yesterday was a day like Byron, IL of the US Class Nationals. Way too hot!
Today is starting out hot, too! But at least we made it thru 1st round. Ran "the Terminator", Peter Biondo. And we won! And the crowd went wild! And then Randy Wilkes beat Dan Fletcher heads up! And the crowd went wild! We obviously are having a great time! We run 2nd round in just a little while. So more later. Patsy |
