FWIW,..I tow with a 2002 Dodge 1500 quad cab truck.I have a open steel trailer and with my car on it and gear,I'm towing right at 53-5400#'s.I used to own a Ramcharger before the 1500 and didn't like it at all,wheelbase was too short.Also I use the Reese equalizer hitch setup (with square bars) along with a Tekonsha Prodigy brake controller.My set up tows great.

I'll tow whatever you need. i have a C4500 chevy. Went form a Toyota to 1 ton DRW Chevy to my current C4500, would never go back to a small truck. Oh yea, a 1 ton is a small truck, LOL.
