The storm has cleared and the track dryers are out. The skies are still overcast - we might not get help from the sun for a while. No word yet on any schedule changes.

According to the Engine Labs web site the DA and DC heads are identical.

D7OE-DA – 1977-1979, 302, Windsor small-block, 1.78/1.45 valves, 69cc chamber
D7OE-DC – 1977-1978, 351, Windsor small-block, 1.78/1.45 valves, 69cc chamber

Am I missing something or did Gary get a DQ just because the number wasn't in the book?

WRONG ! NHRA does NOT suck....Its the idiots running it today ! It was way less expensive 30 years ago. Everyone is NOT cheating.....Just the usual same clowns !
They have screwed up PRO STOCK. They should go back to 1320 ft for the fuel cars and change the engine allowed specs. to slow them down. Most spectators hate the 1000 ft. runs. Stock does NOT suck except its way more expensive today for the working class person.

If that was the case why not build a car that will go one under here and always qualify and never have to worry about tear down.

Terry Tec not to pick on you because I used to be one of the older ones that hated all the stuff that has been let go by for years. Buts lets face it very few cars could qualify here if your heads and intake were bone stock. And to be honest with you I don't want to drive a 12 second B/SA. I would be bored to death by now. Stock is not the Stock it was when you were a tec guy. It's only the name of the category that we race. And like I said I don't want to go back to running slow cars. Good luck to everyone Barry

I feel even the none qualified cars should have a chance at the barn. Your here entered taking a spot you should be subject to all the same things all competitors are subject to.

Was there a problem parking? A couple days later and I don't remember and I'm ready for next year. What a bad drug addiction I have. Barry

Barry I like the way you think, interesting idea too about non qualifiers for tear down also.

Alright guys, enough with the crap about how good or bad NHRA is. This a live from thread and I want it to stay that way.

Back to what really matters, racing. Here are the current Super Stockers in the barn....
GT/HA Craig Gualtiere, '05 Cavalier
SS/O Wayne Denklau, '55 Wagon
GT/NA David Jackson, '92 Firebird
GT/FA Todd Frantz, '05 Cobalt
SS/AH James Daniels, '68 Dart

Stock has been pushed to after all the pros are done today. We will be the last class down the track, only one round. Alcohol will start the day around 10:30.

The first photo was just before the rains hit.
