The UNC Board of Trustees approved the resolution that prohibits the university from using "race, sex, color or ethnicity"...in admissions and hiring decisions.
UNC "shall not unlawfully discriminate against, or grant preferential treatment to, any individual or group on the basis of race, sex, color, ethnicity, or national origin, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity, age, disability, genetic information, or veteran status in its admissions, hiring and contracting," according to the resolution.

PERFECT....... treat everyone equally.

This country has given me the opportunity, just like all the other citizens, to do well. I have so-called friends that don’t like that fact. I left a little two horse town in Arizona and determined my own destiny. I educated myself, invested well, have two daughters and educated them at good schools with both achieving Masters degree in fields that they had interest in. So yeah, a lot of the people in rural communities across the nation are angry. Supply side economics has not only NOT seen money “trickle down” into these communities; it has had the effect of literally robbing these communities of the businesses and profits that once sustained them. So it is understandable why folks in these communities might be sad, or angry. The problem is, their anger is misdirected. They need to look at big corporations and the elite in this country that has been robbing them blind for years. This has to stop! Putting money into the fixing roads and bridges is the right thing to do, bringing manufacturing back to this country is the right thing to do. People’s anger is misguided, truly misguided.
