Re: “Live” from the Class Racer Revival in St. Louis
These high dollar events are looking like a lot of fun. Not only can you go as fast as you can, you do not have to worry about that stupid AFIS to contend with. I’m very happy for the racers to have events like this to attend and let these great cars cut loose and see what they can do. Good luck to all racers who are in attendance at this race. More races like this need to be held.

Re: “Live” from the Class Racer Revival in St. Louis
Motor mania is the hot ticket. Interviews with people I have only heard of and now a face with the car. Plus the view is great.

Re: “Live” from the Class Racer Revival in St. Louis
This race is pretty awesome, and St Louis knows how to make an axle breaking starting line. I should be there as a fan in the stands, but the stream is incredible. Everyone involved deserves lots of compliments.
The Fazio interviews are just great, Please do an interview with all the Bohannon's together in one group, as well as any of the Louisville gang. They all have a good time. Maybe one on the whole Belanger team as well, as I understand they assumed the Keown racing engine business? Any racing engine builder deserves an interview, Patterson's, Lance Line, Jeff Taylor, Brad Van Lant, and more. Also you should have a chat with Cal Method, a racing legend in the house! I prefer the announcing more than the BOLD race, as I prefer knowing the class entered, engine combo, driver, team, dial, result, etc. I took my enjoyment to the next level and downloaded the track time slip app, and am amazed that I can see all the time slips of my favorite cars! I recommend that, and its found on the WWT track website. A couple of mystery's to me... the late Kenny Morris' old Grand Am seems to be there. Was Kenny Morris related to the notorious Morris group doing all the winning? I think Raikes is entered in the car #3061 GT/IA Is #3147 GT/HA Matt Morris' entry the ex Randall Cavalier entry? thanks for the great show |

Don, the Cavalier is the ex Tom Randall car. I think it was a passed winner at St. Louis with Charlie Bohannon driving it for Irvin Johns. I am trying to remember, I believe this was the case. Ernie Neal SS 354 |

Re: “Live” from the Class Racer Revival in St. Louis
I watched this race all week and thought what a great deal. Bob Unkefer did a great announcing job, by all accounts Tyler and Brian did an awesome job of putting on a race that both participants and on line spectators really enjoyed. I truly wish that I would of been able to go with Andrew.
What in the hell is wrong with you active Stock and Super Stock racers? 74 Stockers and 54 Super Stockers. There should of been twice that many. I think there were more D7 cars than D4. Division 3 probably has over 200 active SS racers and 54 total from all divisions show up. These two young men put on a race that has something for everybody. One of the best track prep guys in the country, NHRA tech guys, centrally located on a really nice track. In a month Gateway is going to have a double points race where you get to race for a $1000 and I would bet there will be over a hundred Stockers and 100 Super Stockers. If we keep on not supporting these races there wont be any more of them.I don’t see any way Tyler and Brian didn’t lose money on this race. Michael Beard tried this and couldn’t make it work because of low racer turnout. Wake up folks. |
Re: “Live” from the Class Racer Revival in St. Louis
Totally agree with you Greg. It was a very good race. I hope there are more. We will attend.

Re: “Live” from the Class Racer Revival in St. Louis
After the cheating at the Gainesville race and no time off from NHRA for the cheater, we were ready to try something different. NMCA was fun in Bradenton Fl. To be honest I had serious doubts on track prep at this race in St Louis. Hats off and a big Thank You to Tyler and crew for a track that was just superb, I couldn’t ask for anything any better.
For us we will be waiting for the next one, the first one was GREAT!!! Patsy and Larry |
Re: “Live” from the Class Racer Revival in St. Louis
Does anybody know what the tech guy was looking for
In the staging lanes. Looked at the brake pedal area while I was in the car. He just told me he was looking for something and didn’t see it in our car. This was in the stock class don’t know if he did the same in super stock. David |

Hats off to Tyler, Brian and the many people behind the scenes to make this event happen. Could not believe the traction that was there with the cold temp. The Mass Traction guys were awesome! Our whole group had a blast, and anyone who did not come definitely missed out. I will likely not see conditions like that again. The TB crew made it great for all.

Re: “Live” from the Class Racer Revival in St. Louis
Thanks to Tyler and Brian for creating a great event.
Track prep was second to none, and the entire event went off without a hitch. Nice to meet and greet racers from the other divisions, and the comp people too. I got to compete in 4 races in 4 days with the Gremlin,2 races with the truck, and will have more fond memories of loosing than the winning rounds. Twice the Gremlin was beaten by Patterson’s Copo, getting passed at 150 while I was on the brakes going 90. Loosing today chasing Buth in the Ranger with the Gremlin. He dialed a 15.56 and I a 13.47. Loosing the wheelstand competition to Lance Line(his was bigger). Loosing in round 2 on the first race and having to lift when the wheelstand went awry but the track prep let me Dukes of Hazard it back into the center and out of harms way. Having this all on Motormania TV made it an even more special experience. My wife got to watch from home. Bobby Fazio did all those interviews which were great. It was a privilege to go, glad I could, for those that couldn't you unfortunately missed out. Eric |

I do think it is a good thing for the sport and I would have tried to attend if I had a STK or SS legal car. To Brett's point I would agree, racing is lighter on Easter weekend at most tracks and for those that still have little kids, spring break week is a bad week to go racing. I was on vacation with my kids in the Smokey Mtn's the whole week, scheduled back in October, for instance... It sounds like it was a great event and I hope they do it again next year! |
Re: “Live” from the Class Racer Revival in St. Louis
A "HUGE WAY TO GO" to Tyler Bohannon and Brian Whitworth and the Super Support Team the, Wifes Shawna and Girlfriends Megan and the Super Mom Of Tyler Bohannon, Gina who behind the scenes did a heck of a lot of work for the' Ultimate Class Racing Revival" was a ball I froze but the "risk" was worth I can't handle cold weather ever, being from the west lol at me and a huge great job to" Bobby Fazio" the person who along with Brian Mr. Cool Anderson himself put on Class Racing Today podcast interviews what a great time for all Life is Great especially today, Oh and Bob Unkefer is the best announcing.

Re: “Live” from the Class Racer Revival in St. Louis
ya had to look quick but we WERE there, Wednesday only, two Q runs, and for a short while we were in the wheelstand consideration, just behind Cory Hopkins, but quickly dropped down...after second Q, we had water coming out from somewhere (water pump, block, dunno)
Since, because of Easter we planned Wed/Thurs only and spend Easter with family in Kansas City Since we couldn't diagnose problem nor repair before E1 Wednesday, we loaded up. Also, we absolutely froze to death Wed AM; just can't take the cold & wind at my age Soooo, very disappointed in our effort BUT what a tremendous effort put out by TB Promotions, I'm just sick about the area racers support for this in light of the EAST & WEST coast attendees, esp the Mandella crew and Zavala; Larry's interview hit my thoughts exactly, wasn't planning on coming but felt the need to support in some small way Pit interviews were great, and video views were awesome |
Re: “Live” from the Class Racer Revival in St. Louis
As I read the posts by the racers that attended this event, sounds like a success for the racers. I hope more events like this happen.
Watching the racing and listening to the interviews was awesome. Made me feel like I was there. I know racers are real people, but in the interviews the appreciation of the event and those that made it happen was made quite clear. I did not hear anyone with an ego, it was about how cool an event this was and how much fun they were having. |

Re: “Live” from the Class Racer Revival in St. Louis
I would like to thank everyone involved in putting this race on for us (class racers) !!!! This was the coolest race that you could ever be part of !!! This race gave everyone a chance to do what you work so hard at , RUN AS FAST AS YOU CAN . no throttle stops, no limping out the back door, just FLAT OUT. Was very impressive to drive around the pits and realize that this was for us and only us ( Sportsman racers ) . I hope that these kind of races can continue and grow. Thanks Bob

Comp Shootout;
How many cars? #1 Qualifier? Final round result? |
Re: “Live” from the Class Racer Revival in St. Louis
Thank you all for watching and hopefully enjoying the interviews of the drivers. I was running around doing as many as I could so I apologize for missing the requests I am just seeing on here. Due to lots of nonstop racing it was difficult to catch some racers to get an interview. Also there were more short interviews in the lanes that can be seen on our "live videos" on the CRT facebook page. Lance Line and Wild Bill Feist are funny dudes.
