Doubt that they try and run the Pros today. They're not going to want to refund all the paying Sunday spectators ticket money. Pros can hang around until Monday, if necessary, before heading to Dallas.

Re: "Live" from Charlotte 2019

It's nearly 11:30 and we are still at it. There are 2 left with a chance to double. Monty Bogan who just missed a double up here in the spring and Jimmy Daniels. But only one will have a chance after the semis in SS since they will be running each other.

Robbie Draughon slams the door on Jimmy Daniels hopes to double up by taking the SS trophy after Jimmy had just won in Stock. Nice job guys, it was some great racing tonight!

What a fun night of racing, it had it all. National points championship, flat tires, help from from other racers not in the same category, MacGyver problem solving, and on and on. As you might have guessed most of the spectators were team members or racers that had hgbeen eliminated from competition. Doesn't " being eliminated from competitioyn" sound way better than "Looser"?

I owe a big thank you to Mike McMahan for spotting in the third round. For what ever reason the track got a little "iffy" second and fourth round.

Just think about showing up for work at 7:00 am and getting the job done almost 18 hours later.
A BIG thanks to all of those people that made yesterday and early today possible!

I almost forgot to thank Larry, Patsy and Cooter for the reporting, it's good to see y'all back in action. Good luck at the Rock!

Re: "Live" from Charlotte 2019

No problem Frank, I haven't raced much this year but the last 3 weekends have been a blast and I enjoy doing the reports. I think NHRA's decision although it may have not been all that popular here yesterday was a good one. Waking up this morning, it was a great decision as Larry said it's raining and not much sign of it clearing up. That was some great racing last night, that Jimmy Daniels was double oh every time it seemed in Stock so congratulations to him on the win and almost double up.
Great night for Robbie Draughon and his crew. He put that car back together just a few days ago after hurting a motor at Dinwiddie and comes here untested and wins his first National event Wally! He hadn't raced that car in several months, so kudos to him and Tabitha they are some great people.
Not Stock or SS but Brooke Warren Foley gets the runner-up in Top Dragster after winning at Dinwiddie last weekend. Nice job by her and family!
There was the big heads up 2cd round where Daren Poole Adams took out Alli Doll and prevented her from taking over the National points lead.
I didn't know about this at the time but apparently Jim Marshall had a flat tire just before 3rd round last night and Gene Jordan came to the rescue with his set of tires. So we had all kinds of drama last night!
I went out 2cd round on a redlight to Randi Lyn Shipp but apparently she was ready for me anyway as she was .006 but it would've been alot better to turn it green. Well after 3 weeks in a row I think we are calling it a season. At the moment I don't have any intentions of going to Rockingham but you never know it's still a few days away.
And it's still raining......

Hey Larry that was great thinking for the problem solver last night. I have to hit Walmart before Rockingham anyway so I’m thinking about getting a box of those special plugs 😉

Great watching all the back-to-back class racing last night. Thought their NHRATV cameras could have been placed a bit better. Would have liked to see both boards to see dials but hey, a camera looking back at the tree is awesome and seeing all that great action under the lights was really nice. And my thanks as well to Cooter, Larry and Patsy! Kudos to all the racers lending a hand to their fellow racers, we all share a common passion and it shows time and time again.

It sounds like it was one of those special nights at the track. I wish I was there. The Class Racing community is special and has been blessed by this forum, it brings everyone closer together. Thanks Ken Miele, you're the catalyst.

I got my pictures all out of sequence, but I found a few more! We went to Jim and Pam Marshall's house today and had a wonderful lasanga meal. Thanks it was a great time!! It has rained all day and the pits have cleared out a bunch. I think all that is left is going to Rockingham.

So here are the rest of the pics:

I got one more thing to add, congratulations to Johnathan Anderson on his Super Comp win! I talked with Johnathan for a good while on Saturday. As you might remember he posted up here a while back looking for a partnership to get in Super Stock. He has a SS legal Sunfire he currently runs in Super Street and is looking for someone to partner with that has a drivetrain. If someone out there fits this bill and wants to get back out here racing this guy will put y'all in the winners circle. We talk about getting new blood in Stock and SS well here's the chance for someone to help this guy get started!

Re: "Live" from Charlotte 2019

Yesterday was different pro eliminations on Monday. After the race it was all hands on deck to tear down and get ready for Texas. Some teams left Monday others started making the trip before 5:00 am today. The Capco T/F team had the best post race celebration. Capco's golf cart has a train whistle on it, which is louder than the speaker on the Blues Brothers Dodge, and blew it several times and often. All in fun.

After such an exhausting day we were lulled to sleep by the soothing sounds of three lap testing at the dirt track, that went on for hours. It was music to my ears and for others not so much.
Today is get ready for the Rock which is the FWD routine, Fuel, Water, and Dump. ZMax has very good dump stations and city water, unlike St Louis.

I should be able to loose some weight this weekend with a diet change. Not racing this year has forced me into a situation where I need grade points. So....... us returning to Rockingham will be a case of me having to eat my words of "I will never go back to that ice rink". I find eating my word always has a bitter taste and are quite filling. Maybe I won't run out of adjustments on the car this time. I will be keeping my fingers crossed for good luck.

Good luck at the Rock Larry and everybody going. Got to Jimmy’s yesterday and found that it was the transmission. On to Texas to retrieve my spare from the guy I loaned it to and then to Vegas. Mike McMahan 2543 H/SA
