I'll give you tip on the V-8 /V-6 swap, when you look at frame mounts looks like you could slide them back and bolt 4.3 right in,but it won't, but is simple to fix. take brackets that lower motor mounts go on and slot mounting holes where lower motor mount goes and slot the holes to where you have about 1 1/2 - 2'' slots so you can slide lower mount down,I made the slots on bridgeport style mill, if don't have mill can drill row of holes close together then use carbide burr cut rest of the way, you probaly have to drill hole where frame mount bolts to crossmember also. You may have known this but if not may save you a hour or two. Is 350 1 pc, main? most 4.3 are 1 pc rear main,they use different flywheel than 2 pc. rear main Mike Taylor 3601 |
