We just finished round 1. Won the heads up race. We were down for a long time with them cleaning up weepers. It is really getting cold now. Don't know if we will finish up tonight or not. Irvin Johns hit the wall with his stocker, but won the round. Don't know just how bad the car is.

Looks like on Irvin's run, they are showing on DRC that Fezell won the round. Fezell red-lighted, so it must have been first or worst.

Got beat 2nd round. Spun so badly almost hit tree. They are running super gas now and then index cars and then they are done for the night. There is a 10:00 curfew. They will start back up at 9 in the morning. There is test and tune here tomorrow also for those getting ready for the Gators and someone said the round track is full of rigs waiting to get in.

It is a beautiful but cold day here in Cecil, GA again. Stock Round 3 is due to go out at 9:00 this morning. We have just got up and about and are planning on leaving after showers and breakfast and head on to Gainesville. I will post whatever happens before we leave.

Oh, BTW, they got the fender and door beat back out on Irvin Johns car and are getting a new headlight assembly today and plan on racing it at the Gators.

Thanks for the update, Sleeping Beauty. Tell Irvin to call me if he is still there. I assume it is one of his stock Challengers. I got parts. I have experience in hitting the wall on Sunday, and racing Gainesville on Thrusday.

Glad to hear Irv's car wasn't too damaged to race. Sorry to hear he tagged the wall but at least Irv wasn't hurt. I'm leaving Indiana tomorrow if they need anything brought down.

Well, Irving is very fortunate the damage was limited. Was watching the run and he was carrying the front so high and far out that I was afraid he was actually going to come down and hook the tire on the wall and roll over. First round had lots of wheels up launches...

Hey Guys,
Found a great spot to dump the motorhome and take on fresh water at Exit 5. Eagles Roost RV park. Take left at exit, then 1 block to Mill Store Road. Turn right. About 3/4 mile on past the Outlet Mall. $5 to dump and $5 for fresh water. And we are ready for Gainesville. The dump and water is right at the front and easy to get to.

At the same exit 5, there is a Sonny's Bar-B-Q where we just enjoyed a great beef brisket lunch! There is even parking big enough to get your rigs in. We are now sitting at Exit 2 (to the right) waiting to get the motorhome and trailer washed.

Well it is a gorgeous day here in Gainesville, FL. A little chilly this morning. 48 now but headed to mid 70's this afternoon. As far as we know, noon it the time that we will begin parking. Rigs are parked 4 wide and they are filling in the spectator parking spaces, too. I will get out later and get some pics.

Which begs the question where would they have put everybody if they were full on the quota? They are showing 73 shy of the total quota, many of those being PRO's that would have gotten lots of premium space. Even if they haven't started filling the outer sportsman areas in the perimeter it is only Tuesday night. It's time to invest in what was once the premium strip in the country....or sell it to Bruton (just kidding on that one, it would probably work against the local bracket racers).

Just got back from dinner at Cedar River Seafood. Great food and great friends. Thanks Jim Marshall. Next time it's on us.

Looks like there is still quite a bit of room in here. I will be able to see better in the morning. Lots of empty space where Top Alcohol is to be parked.
