I NEVER DID GET TO ACTUALLY MEET JACK SEPANEK,SR.
UPON RELOCATING TO CENTRAL PA.,EVERY RACER I WOULD MEET(especially tom correll and duwayne fisher),WOULD AT SOME POINT TELL ME "YOU HAVE TO MEET THE SEPANEK"S".
I DID GET TO MEET JACK,JR. BRIEFLY,IN THE STAGING LANES AT NUMIDIA IN 2010.I HAD NOT DRIVEN A RACE CAR IN 36 YEARS AND WAS TRYING TO SORT OUT THE CAR AND TRANSMISSION WHICH I WAS UNFAMILIAR WITH.JACK JR.,BUSY WITH HIS OWN CARS TOOK THE TIME TO REASSURE ME THAT THE TRANS ISSUES COULD BE FIXED WITH NO PROBLEM.A PLEASURE TO MEET AND SPEAK WITH.
TODAY,SPEAKING WITH BILLY NEES,HE TOLD ME THAT IF YOU MET JACK JR.-IT WOULD BE LIKE MEETING JACK SR.....
THE APPLE DOES NOT FALL FAR FROM THE TREE.
DONT PUT OFF TILL TOMORROW-WHAT YOU CAN DO TODAY.

Sorry to learn of your dad's passing. I am glad to have made his acqaintance last year at your trailer. I will always remember him wheel his big 'ole 427 down the track. We will all miss him, and may your family take comfort in knowing he has moved on to a better place.

Jack will truly be missed! I've known Jack since I started racing in the late 90's and my father grew up racing with him at Numidia Dragway in the early 70's. "Big" Jack would go out of his way to offer advice or a joke to make you laugh. I used to love stopping by his trailer after a weekly points race at Numidia. You could bench race with "Big" Jack or just have a drink and a laugh. He would always go out of his way to help others, because that's the type of person he was! He was a true gentleman and all around great person to be around. If you showed up to Jack's trailer as a stranger....you always left as a friend! We're all going to miss him! I was deeply saddened to here the news of Jack's death. He was a wonderful man who truly enjoyed the sport of drag racing. He was blessed with a great family that were all involed in racing with him. He will be greatly missed. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the Sepanek Family.

I met the Sepanek family at the Atco Division race last year and a week later they helped me out at the Reading National event. Jack sr., his wife, Jack Jr., and Katie has to be the nicest people I have ever met. Here I was, a person they barely know and they let me parts so I was able to make first round. They are truely a great family and Jack Sr. will be missed. Our condolences go out to you all. Jack will be greatly missed. I'm glad I had the opportunity to meet him.

In the summer of 1975 I walked into a garage on Spring Street in Moosic , Pa with a power glide trans for Jack to modify. I walked out with a friendship that has lasted 36 years. To Gail Jack Jr Katie and most of all Big Jack God Bless You.

I had the opportunity to meet Mr. and Mrs. Sepanek at LV in 2010. They were such classy people, so engaging and sincere. Talked about racing , politics and current events. They sure knew how to make a guy from Nova Scotia feel like he lived across the street. I had the opportunity to meet Jack Jr. and Katie this past summer at Epping and they were fantastic. On behalf of my mother-in-law Gail and husband Jack, we can not thank the racing community enough for the outpouring of kindness displayed upon the passing of Jack Sr. Words can not describe how much we were touched by the posts, cards, flowers, food and by how many of you traveled such great distances to attend the services. Your thoughtfulness has made a very difficult time easier. We are so very very blessed to be part of this wonderful racing family. A most sincere and heartfelt THANK YOU to all of you.

Our condolences to the entire Sepanek family. It was truly a joy tyo race with both "Big" and "Little" Jack. I know watching father and son together in the staging lanes made me appreciate racing with my father a little bit more with each run I made.
