You missed your chance… you should have taken a pic with your phone and presented it to the DD ….

Seen the same thing at Sonoma last year. They towed to the top of the hill unhooked and coasted down the hill. I didn?t have my phone with me.

Several years ago at Topeka a stocker was being towed to the lanes by a golf cart, Tech Guy, the late Wayne Lewis yelled tow that back to your pits & drive up here like everyone else

To be fair all stocker should park the same distance from the lanes!

We were parked equal distances from staging FWIW

It was brought up to the NHRA guys at head of staging, they could?ve seen him unhook if they wanted.. I was told later it went over the radio So they knew it happened and there action was to have a talk with the guy. Being new to stock I didn’t wanna push for a DQ, I would’ve liked NHRA to enforce their own rules.

Most competitive teams now use a chiller and ice
directly behind the staging lanes on a Heads Up
race before entering the staging lanes.

This post was specifically about TOWING a car up which is clearly prohibited in the rules?.not pushing not use of ice and chillers behind the lanes. I?m new to stock but I?m very aware of what can be done and what cannot.

Call the Division Director and file a formal complaint.

It would really depend on how close the race is going to be. If its a close race then I would do something about it. If its a 5 or 6 tenths difference i would not worry about it because I have no chance to win the round anyway. I would have a talk with the other driver and give him my thoughts. I would for sure burn him down in the burn out and staging.
